Reminder of the Earlier Years

"This spaghetti seems a little tasteless. Do we have any parmesan cheese?"

Well, sorta... Shannon and I must not be real big consumers of the pungent product. After seeing the "South Beach Diet Recommended" seal on the can, I knew something was up. I looked on the bottom to find an expiration date of September 2005! Most likely bought when Shannon and I were first married.

It had somehow evaded the trash bin even after moving to three different houses. What an elusive cheese this is!

5 Months

Miles is ever growing!! My big boy loves playing with everything he can get his hands on, and he really gets them on lots :) He loves his Vern dog, and kisses are most exciting!! We attempted to give him some cereal this past weekend... his face was pretty classic. "What on earth are you putting this awful stuff in my mouth for" classic look. I think we are going to have to practice with it awhile until he decides he likes it. Anyways here are some more updated photos of our precious blue eyed boy!! He's crying and I don't have time to post more...

Random cute pictures of Miles... 4 1/2 months

Finally my sister comes to visit!!

A couple of weekends ago my big sis finally made it down to see us!! Things kinda fell together last minute and I was super excited she was able to come... She brought with her a couple of crazy kids, which led to lots of laughing, crying, and screaming :) Aubs was afraid of Vern (most of the time) and would scream and run from him... which is unfortunate since in dog language that says "chase me, chase me".... Matt's not scared of him though and Vern would just follow him around and try to get all licks in he could :) The big plans were to go to the zoo on Saturday... after getting all the kids around and ourselves we were rained out. Bummers. So on Sunday we went after church. It looked like a nice day out, till we got to the zoo... oh well rain or shine we decided to go in. Turns out it was more like thunder boomers, downpours, and hurricane gusts :) Okay maybe not totally that bad. We had to have a layover in the entrance of the restrooms for awhile, waiting for the hard rain to pass. And than we had spitting rain the rest of the time. We accomplished the goal however and made it to the zoo. Seeing everything except for parts of Australia. Aubs really wanted to see a tiger, and much to our dismay the tiger decided not to show himself! And all the African animals are hidden away while that area is under construction... guess that means they will just have to come back down :) When we were finally leaving we asked Aubree what her favorite part was, and she responded it with "riding the elephant" aka the merry-go-round :)

**this poor ugly thing... Joe had pity on him and looked at him for awhile, and eventually took his picture. He seemed like a very depressed vulture!!
